Who We Are
Bossier KIDS was once described by Kim Bigler, founder of James Storehouse Louisiana, as a model Christian foster care program; an intentional village on the frontlines of foster care. For more than three decades, we have provided loving, Christ-centered homes for hundreds of children in northwest Louisiana.
A model Christian foster care program; an intentional village on the frontlines of foster care.
Despite being independent of state funding, we have worked tirelessly to ensure children in northwest Louisiana have the opportunity to thrive. In 2018, we were honored by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute in Washington D.C. as an Angels in Adoption Honoree. While we are humbled and grateful for this recognition, we consider our greatest honor in giving children the freedom to simply be kids and have the love they deserve.
Our agency acts as an “extended family” to support foster parents in nurturing their children. We prioritize building relationships with our families and local communities in order to create a foundation of love and care for each child.
We are overseen by a board of directors with extensive knowledge in business, social service, healthcare, and volunteer work. We are always looking for ways to grow to meet the needs of the children in our care.
You can make a difference in the life of a child.
Whether you take on a foster parent role, donate, or volunteer, you have the ability to make a positive impact on a child today. Consider walking with us toward a better future for our children.
